What does the term “duck” mean with regards to backpacking or geocaching?

I’ve just learned of a game called geocaching. You use a GPS to locate hidden items placed in remote spots around the world. One of the clues for a cache near my home says that a previous visitor had “ducked” the cache. The term seems to be used in backpacking as well.
Do you know what this means?

How to report you picked up or placed a bug on the Geocaching website.?

I was just wondering, how on the geocaching webstie do you report that you picked up and placed a geobug. I know how to report that I discovered it but how do I show i picked it up or placed it in a cache.
How do you report that you placed it, not descoverd it

Which dash-mount gps is good for driving but can also be used for geocaching?

Mostly I want a gps for geocaching but since they cost around $200-300, I figure I could spend a few hundred more and get one that is good for driving as well. (One that plugs into the cigarette lighter bu then has an internal battery so that it can be used for hiking as well) Thanks!

What GPS unit do you use for geocaching?

I discovered geocaching 3 months ago and love it! Ive been using my garmin nuvi 200 car unit and it works fine, but I want to get a handheld unit thats more rugged, with other features that are good for geocaching.
